Wer sich für soetwas interessiert, sollte sich einmal das kostenlose Programm “Ulteo Virtual Desktop” anschauen.
Dieses emuliert ein komplettes Linux unter Windows. Da der Kernel jedoch für Windows ausgelegt ist und das Linux nicht in einer virtuellen Maschine läuft, soll die Performance mit einer nativen Anwendung vergleichbar sein.
Die Größe des Downloads hält sich auch in Grenzen – 500 MB. Selbst das Drucken aus den Linuxanwendungen wird angeboten.
Auch für “Nichtexperten” bietet sich so ein kleines Linux durchaus an- z. Bsp. für virenfreies Surfen.
